Biggest comedy series

One of the biggest comedy shows to have ever hit television was subjected to a big change when this new season aired. All of you who are familiar with the show know that Charlie Sheen was kicked off of two & a half men for many reasons including drugs. Well when I heard that Ashton Kutcher was going to replace him, I wondered if this hit show would no longer be big among fans.

I’ve recently started catching up on this new season of two & a half men, after hearing many conflicting views on the role of Charlie taken over by Ashton. I thought the transition was quite interesting. Apparently, Charlie was hit by a car and died. So, Allan lived in the house alone when he seen Ashton trying to drown himself in the ocean after a big break up. Allan saved him, Ashton bought the house and let him stay there and then the story began.

I personally didn’t think I was going to enjoy the show with the big change, but I have to say I like it just as much if not more than the original two & a half men. I think Ashton does a great job and brings a fresh look to the show. It was getting somewhat old watching Charlie walk around drunk out of his mind (but hilarious). I am not up to date on the latest season and am curious to see what is yet to unfold. I also think having the girls on air a lot is another fresh look for the show.

Adam Sandler's next big movie

According to the locals, Adam Sandler’s new movie ‘Jack and Jill’ was supposed to be his next big hit. I saw the previews and thought it looked like a funny movie and couldn’t wait for it to come on pay-per-view so I could order it and get to see it for myself. The reviews I’ve heard from those who went to see it were very mixed- some loving it and some hating it, so I didn’t quite know what to think.

Well, the first half hour of the movie was kind of annoying in my opinion. Jacks sister Jill was just really annoying, but I of course figured I’d have to give it time. Well, I continued to watch the movie and as the first hour passed, I think I may have ‘chuckled’ one time. This was shocking to me because I tend to find his movies to be absolutely hilarious. While the friend I was watching the movie with gave up on it by falling asleep, I continued to give it a chance.

I have to say I was quite disappointed. The funniest part of the movie- if you even find it to be funny, is the fact that Jill is indeed Adam Sandler dressed up as a women. Otherwise, like I said I found the plot to be enough to keep me watching to the end, but it was just an annoying movie that wasn’t funny at all and I certainly won’t be recommending it to any others for viewing. We each have different taste however, so you’d have to view it for yourself, but in my opinion it was a waste of time.

The biggest trends in spring fashion

So, spring is just around the corner and as usual I check all of the latest fashion magazines to see what’s going to be big this spring. While looking through, I found the fashion must haves for this spring season to be rather interesting. I have to say, many of them are not going to be a part of my look, but I know there are many people who live for the new biggest thing in fashion and will be quick to follow these trends.

The first thing I found interesting were the big hair colors for this spring. Shades of lavender and light pink are the most have styles for this coming season. Not my cup of tea, but I do have to say the models wearing these colors didn’t look bad. Also in hair, having light hair with dark roots is another style that’s going to be big this spring.

As for clothing, it basically looks like we’ve adapted the styles of our fellow native ancestors. Almost all of the clothes that are in style this coming season feature; feathers, beads or some kind of tribal artwork. Again, not a fan but, I seen many people out and about already sporting these new styles.

As for jewelry, it seems to be following a trend similar to the clothing fashion. Feather earrings, hair pieces and necklaces seem to be the big thing for this coming spring. Earrings with beads are also in, and I also seen a pair shaped like small dream catches which I found to be quite interesting. Don’t get too overboard when buying these new fashion pieces, because as quick as spring is here it’ll be gone and the new big things in summer fashion will be on their way.

The biggest reality show on TV

When thinking about the biggest and most popular show on television, it won’t take many people long to say ‘Jersey Shore’. This series has been on for 6 seasons and is one of the most popular reality shows that have ever been on television. The funny thing about Jersey Shore is its popularity among all age groups. I know so many parents who watch this show religiously with their children every Thursday and consider it a favorite.

So, why is this show so big right now? I personally cannot see the attraction when it comes to this reality series. Basically, the show consist of a bunch of people in their twenties and easily thirties who spend their days ‘hooking up’, getting drunk and acting like complete fools. Last year they shot the reason in Italy and those who are from there said that the crew was an embarrassment to the Italians.

According to MTV, this is going to be the last season of Jersey, and while many of the fans are saddened at this news, I think it is great. I don’t think this show is a good influence for the teens watching it. They are getting the impression that having fun means getting fall down drunk, going to clubs and sleeping around. This is definitely not the idea of fun. Actually, two of the characters are over 32 years old, and it shocks me to see that these guys are still living that type of lifestyle. Well, although this is the last season for this crew, the next season will be shot with a brand new group of people. I don’t know if I even want to know what’s yet to come.

Planking; The biggest trend of them all

Since this trend started to grow popular in the year of 2003, it continues to get bigger and bigger. Planking is a game that many are participating in throughout the world. It consists of someone laying down flat (like a plank), facedown and having someone take a picture of them like that. The picture is then posted on the Internet and the idea is to complete a “plank” in the most original and unique place.

Although years have passed since this trend came into place, so far the trend has grown to its biggest popularity level in the year of 2012. The game hit national news when 3 doctors and 7 nurses were suspended for a few weeks because they were caught planking while on duty- proving that just about anyone is taking part in this hilarious activity. Prime Minister John Key of New Zeeland was caught planking when a photo was released of him planking in a lounge suite with his father standing behind him. While he made no comment in the beginning, he later admitted that the photo was real and he saw no danger in planking in a fun and appropriate way.

A few people were arrested for planking on police cars while one 20 year old man actually lunged to his death during the activity. He was attempting to plank on a high balcony, fell and died on impact- making many people reconsider the areas where they do their planking. I find this to be so hilarious, especially thinking of doctors and ministers taking part in the game. I’m excited to see how much bigger the world of planking grows in the future.
